Our Story
We opened Pellar in December 2025, after years of dreaming of co-owning a space. While journeying into motherhood we found the need to find a way to work and create with little ones alongside.
“Pellar” means witch or protector; our space embraces magic, and creative freedom. We are filling it with things that inspire us, artists and makers we love.
Morgana Burke is a painter and ceramic artist based in Cornwall. She works across both mediums in an intuitive, imaginative way, making bold, colourful, figurative work that focuses on the female presence.
Faces appear throughout her work as she’s fascinated by human behaviour and feeling, using a naive, direct style to capture it.
Morgana has settled in Cornwall over the last few years after living in Italy, where she is partly from. She’s currently developing her painting style and creating larger scale work.

Jemima works across several mediums incorporating her own illustrative style. Her intricate papercuts are usually centred around folklore, mythology, nature, pattern and decoration. Her watercolour work takes a more decorative or illustrative form, ranging from children's illustration to soft and colourful floral arrangements. Her textile work combines illustrating and cutting to create traditional blocks, printing on natural fibres, her clothes and accessories are distinctive, slow fashion.
